Q: How do I/we register for the Summer Splash Conference?
A: Registration for the 2018 Splash Educational conference is available online. This can be done by an individual or a Coordinator for your group (www.frogstreet.com/splash). You may register by setting up an account at our Event Registration site. For each registration you are purchasing, enter the name, email address, and other necessary information for each Splash Attendee. You may pay by credit card, Purchase Order or check. If you are paying by Purchase Order, please write the PO number in the designated field. You will get an email saying that your registration is pending the receipt of your Purchase Order. You may fax your PO to (800) 759- 3828 or email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Once we receive your Purchase Order and it has been processed, an email will be sent acknowledging that your registration is complete and each attendee on your registration will receive a confirmation email with the details related to their individual registration. If you are paying by check, please mail your check to 800 Industrial Blvd., Suite 100, Grapevine, TX 76051 ATTN: Splash. Your registration will be pending the receipt of your check. Once your check has been received, an email will be sent acknowledging your registration is complete and each attendee will receive a confirmation email.
Q: What is the Make and Take Session?
A: The Make and Take Session is a half-day Pre-Conference Session that takes place from 1:00-5:00 pm on Wednesday, July 25th, prior to the Splash Conference Opening Celebration Wednesday evening. Participants rotate through three exciting presentations during this 4-hour session and receive a Frog Street supply kit, product package and materials to design purposeful activities for immediate classroom use. An attendance certificate for 4 credit hours will be issued for those who register and attend. There is an additional fee of $99 for the Make and Take Session which can only be purchased with your Splash registration. Space is limited!
Q: Can I only attend the Make and Take Session and not attend the 2 day Splash conference?
A: No. The Make and Take Session is an additional option for Splash Conference attendees only.
Q: What is the Frog Street Training?
A: The FSPK, Threes, Toddler and Infant Training sessions are half-day pre-conference sessions that take place from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25th, prior to the Splash Conference Opening Celebration on Wednesday evening. These sessions require an additional $79.00 registration fee and are designed for schools and districts that have purchased the Frog Street Pre-K, Threes, Toddler or Infant Curriculum programs. Participants will receive a certificate for 4 hours of continuing professional education credit for completion of this training. These trainings are for teachers who are new to the Frog Street curriculums and will provide content specific to the curriculum and the effective use of its materials. Participants may choose one of the trainings as they are conducted simultaneously.
Q: Can I attend only Frog Street Curriculum Training and not attend the 2-day Splash conference?
A: Registration for Curriculum Training is $79 and pre-registration is required. If you purchase a Splash registration, you will have the option to purchase one of the Trainings. If you did not purchase a Splash registration, you may purchase the Training option for $79.
Q: What is the Professional Learning Institute?
A: The Professional Learning Institute is back again this year! Registration for the PLI is $249 per person and includes lunch. It is a full-day, pre-conference option held on Wednesday, July 25th, targeting Administrators, Curriculum Specialists and Directors. Participants may select one session in the morning and one session in the afternoon. Selections will be made onsite, on a first-come, first-served basis. Sessions are led by nationally known speakers who specialize and have expertise in Early Childhood Education. Participants will receive a certificate for 6 hours of continuing professional education credit for completion of the PLI.
Q: Are there any grants available for Splash?
A: You may check with your agency/district/administration for suggestions on local grants. Many opportunities are available from Region Service Centers and Workforce Commission Boards. Donors Choose (https://www.donorschoose.org/) is another organization that provides funding for educators. Often local businesses or organizations may provide grants or sponsorships for educators within their community.
Q: Do you offer any scholarships for Splash so that someone may attend at no charge?
A: Yes. The Frog Street Friendship scholarship information is available on the website at www.frogstreet.com/splash . Applications are due by April 15, 2018 and the recipient will be notified by April 30, 2018. Three scholarships will be given for the Splash Registration fee only and do not include any pre-conference sessions, travel or lodging expenses.
Q: Are any meals provided with my registration?
A: Frog Street provides a meal at the special event on Thursday evening during the conference. All registrants will receive a ticket to this dinner event with registration. All other meals are the responsibility of the participant. The hotel offers several great places to grab a bite! Q: May I purchase additional dinner tickets for a spouse, friend or relative?
A: No, the dinner event will be for registered Splash attendees only. Selecting the dinner option when registering for Splash will assure your ticket and help Frog Street plan for the correct number of participants.
Q: What do I wear to the Evening Dinner and Awards Event?
A: Join us for an evening full of fun and surprises! Come dressed in your favorite 70’s and 80’s attire and join in the fun!
Q: Cancellations? If I am unable to attend Splash, can someone come in my place?
A: Frog Street will allow someone else to take your place if you are unable to attend the conference. You or the person who registered your group can make the changes online at www.events.frogstreet.com. (Log into your account and change the attendee information by clicking the name of the attendee and then EDIT.) All changes must be made prior to July 1, 2018. Frog Street has a firm policy of no cancellations, refunds, credits, or product exchanges.
Q: Can you provide information on hotel accommodations?
A: Hotel reservations must be made directly with the hotel – The Gaylord Texan. The single/double room conference rate for Frog Street Press Summer Splash is $183, based on double occupancy, with a $10 additional charge per person up to 4 people in a double room. There are a limited number of rooms available so be sure to book your rooms early!

Q: Will I receive a certificate of attendance for Splash Conference?
A: Each participant will receive a certificate for 12 hours of continuing professional education credit for completing the sessions for the entire conference. Participants who purchase and attend the optional Make & Take Session will receive an additional certificate for 4 hours of training credit. Participants who purchase and attend the optional Frog Street Training session will also receive an additional certificate for 4 hours of continuing professional education credit. Participants who purchase and attend the Professional Learning Institute Session will receive 6 hours of continuing professional education credit.
