Pre-K
Frog Street Pre-K is a comprehensive, dual-language curriculum designed to meet the needs of diverse learners while supporting 10 learning domains.
Three-year-olds are special! They are transitioning from parallel play to interactive play, and their language capacity is blossoming. They are becoming more mobile and learning to show genuine affection and concern for their peers. Frog Street Threes meets the unique needs of three-year-olds and provides intentional instruction in key areas of development so children ages 36-48 months can continue on the path to kindergarten readiness.
Frog Street Threes enhances literacy development and creates a “social bridge” as children this age begin to interact and share with others. It also lays the cornerstones for math concepts such as attributes, classification, and patterns, while integrating STEAM content throughout the week.
Frog Street Threes uses early brain development research as the framework for instruction and offers strong daily routines that develop key social and emotional skills.
The program also balances intentional instruction with child-directed play and values individual differences. It provides comprehensive, integrated, thematic activities in all disciplines and domains.
Adult and child interactions are encouraged to develop rich oral language and vocabulary as well as strong social and emotional connections. Frog Street Threes provides materials and strategies for maintaining healthy family partnerships, and it embraces the joy of learning every day!
Frog Street Threes includes the following components:
Frog Street Threes includes nine thematic teaching guides offering 36 weeks of easy-to-use instruction created specifically for three-year-olds. Each guide begins with a theme overview outlining all four weeks of instruction in that theme.
Each week of instruction is neatly organized into a 10-page section of activity choices. The first page of these sections offers an overview of the week’s theme, the Wonderful Word of the Week, the Week at a Glance, a list of materials to gather, and things to make and do in preparation for the week’s activities.
Materials are divided into two categories and listed at point of use in the guides: Program Materials and Supplies to Gather. The materials are organized by categories so you can plan ahead and ask families to save, collect, and donate items throughout the year.
Each theme includes the following sections:
The Frog Street Teacher Portal offers engaging online resources to support instruction and reinforce skills. Teachers have 24-hour access to teacher guides, lesson plans, eBooks, family letters, listening library, music and more. Digital resources are organized by themes, with colorful buttons and easily identifiable tabs for quick and easy access.
