Lindsay Koch, Ed.D. is an assistant professor of early childhood and special education at Lebanon Valley College. Her research interests include the impacts of parent education and engagement on the development of early literacy skills in young children, utilizing sensory experiences to strengthen early language and literacy skills, and social emotional learning with a focus on trauma. Courses taught at the undergraduate level include Child Development I and II, Literacy and Literature II, Advocacy, Leadership and Collaboration in ECE, and Social Studies Methods. Furthermore, Dr. Koch serves as an adjunct instructor for University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Literacy Network where she provides professional development to early childhood instructional aides, teachers, instructional coaches and center directors on topics related to early language and literacy development, social emotional learning, family engagement, and child development.
