Did you know that a child’s ability to attach to others is wired in the brain during the first 12 months of life? It is critical that parents and caregivers understand this. Thoughts?
April brings many special reasons to advocate and celebrate children from coast to coast; beginning with the celebration of the Military Child, to those centered on the Week of the Young Child and the National Love Your Child Day. During this special month, don’t forget to light a spark in the eyes of a child and to engage them through meaningful play.
Here are some ideas:
· Cook with your child (class)
· Plant a tree/flowers in celebration of earth day
· Bring out the shaving cream and spray it all over the table – just have finger painting fun
· Grab your rain boots and head out for a foot splashing adventure
· Plan a picnic (a blanket and some snacks will do)
The seeds you plant now will be remembered later. Find time to hug a child today!!!!
